The great state of Texas has a heritage of rugged individualism and dedication to freedom as old as the Llano Estacado and as rich as her red dirt soil.  Since colonization, Texans have lived under the six flags of Spain, France, Mexico, The Republic of Texas, The United States of America and The Confederate States of America.  While under these regimes, Texans experienced the rule of monarchies, tyranny, confederacy and republic but her people’s thirst for liberty has been a constant through every era.

Often heckled for their unflappable pride in their State, Texans have no shortage of reasons for their “Texas Pride.”  The Lone Star State stands out among her peers with respect to her economy, entertainment, cuisine, landscape, exports, hospitality…and about any other metric you might choose.
