Matt Batzel
National Executive Director
Matt is American Majority’s National Executive Director. Matt has led trainings in more than 20 states and trained more than 13,000 conservatives. Previously, he served as Wisconsin Executive Director for American Majority. Under his leadership, the Wisconsin chapter of American Majority has trained 300+ winning candidates at the state and local level, and held over 450 trainings over the past 12 years. A Wisconsin legislator recently described Matt as “Wisconsin’s most often quoted political analyst” and he writes columns that have appeared on FOXNation, The Hill, The Federalist, Real Clear Politics, Townhall.com, AmericanGreatness.com, and in the Wisconsin State Journal.
Matt also runs American Majority Action’s (AMA) Get out the Vote Operation’s in several states. Under his guidance, AMA volunteers and staff have knocked on more than 400,000 doors and helped turn out conservative voters in key elections in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Arizona, Nevada, Virginia, Iowa, and New Hampshire. Matt also has been a Lecturer at the University of Chicago Harris School for Public Policy, where he taught the course “Winning Issue Campaigns.”
Prior to joining American Majority, Matt gained experience at the state and federal levels, including in all three branches of the federal government. He has a tax law background, having practiced in the private sector for over two years following his graduation from law school. He lives in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin with his wife and five children.
