American Majority and the Midland Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce they are hosting a Campaign Training on Saturday, June 25 from 9:00am to 2:00pm. The event is open to the public and will be held at the Midland County Historical Society (3417 W. Main Street) in the Northwood University Dow Solutions Lecture Room. The cost is $50 per person if registered by June 10. After June 10, registration increases to $60, with registration closing on June 17. These costs include all training materials, lunch and drinks.
If you’ve ever considered running for elected office, helping with a campaign or understanding more about the political process, this workshop will help you learn what prospective political candidates need to do to win elections or ballot initiatives.
This training is designed for any elected office, at the local, state, or even federal level.
This campaign-training workshop will equip attendees with the tools necessary to become successful leaders and activists. Training topics include but aren’t limited to:
Campaign Plan 2015: A campaign without a plan won’t get very far- this covers what a campaign plan should look like, what should be on it, and how detailed and flexible it should be.
Campaign Communication: Focus on voters, volunteers and donors. Purposefully establish solid, respectful relationships with every person that crosses your campaign path. Learn which messages resonate with voters and learn how to listen to what others are saying about you.
Their Vote Doesn’t Matter: Getting Out OUR Vote. Don’t let the distraction of your opponent’s efforts interfere with your own efficiency. Get identified supporters to the polls by implementing successful targeting; techniques; live phone banking; and door-to-door field work. Learn to apply persistent and patient techniques to your campaign.
