Event Details
Our nation was founded by ordinary citizen activists desiring a government that was accountable to the people. Today, ordinary citizens across our nation are tired of the status quo and ready to engage for the betterment of their communities. American Majority’s political training addresses these passions by providing education and resources to help you meet your goals.
American Majority is pleased to announce it is hosting an Activism Training on April 6 from 7:00pm to 9pm. The event is open to the public.
If you have ever thought about running for office, helping with a campaign or understanding more about the political process, plan on attending this event to learn what candidates need to do in order to win.
The training will be held at the Parthenon Restaurant (314 S. Halsted Street Chicago, IL 60661). The cost is $25 per person. These costs include all training materials. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
The Training will include the following topics (subject to change):
How the Left Does It: Precinct Work & GOTV: This presentation provides a description of the GOTV operations of ACORN and SEIU. We highlight the preexisting political infrastructure that operates and grows year-round, linking local issues and concerns to state or national candidates, precinct captains, etc. Coalitions (particularly between ACORN and ProjectVote) use simple tactics such as door knocking for real results.
Precinct Power: Knowing what a precinct is and why it’s important is the key to impacting the vote tally in your community. Crunching the numbers, making sure that precinct captains are in-place, and making sure the voter registration logs are up-to-date are crucial to getting the results you want.
