Why America is Great Vol.6: We the People
October 2, 2018
Volume VI, titled “We the People,” examines the fight between Anti-Federalists and Federalists following writing the Constitution. These two groups were divided on whether or not the Constitution should be ratified. Each took up their pens to fight for their side. Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay began writing the Federalist Papers, a series of letters trying to convince the American public of the merits of the proposed Constitution. These papers are still studied today and are hailed as the written explanation behind the brief and vague tenets of the Constitution.
