Why America is great Vol. 1: Our Rich Heritage
August 21, 2018
Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it.
In the Revolutionary era, pamphlets were circulated among the colonies to publicize newsworthy headlines and rebellious rhetoric. Pamphlets such as Thomas Paine’s “Common Sense” could be found in nearly every colonial household.
American Majority’s pamphlet series, “Why America is Great,” likewise spreads vital information across the nation. Each volume digs into a specific topic and examines it from various points of American history. Examining founding principles and their implementation throughout history enables us to better understand the political landscape today.
Volume I, titled “Our Rich Heritage,” lays out the founding principles that were incorporated by the writers of the Constitution as they crafted our governing documents.
Many people claim they want to return to the founding principles, but they are unaware of what they entail beyond a basic understanding of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
In a few quick pages, you will better understand where our founding principles originated, what they truly mean, and why we should renew them today.
