Before his name was immortalized in the oh-so-popular musical or his likeness graced the reverse side of our ten dollar bill, Alexander Hamilton made a name for himself as Washington’s Aide-De-Camp in the American revolution, penned several of the Federalist papers, and served as the first Secretary of the Treasury.

The founding father was born on this day in either 1755 or 1777 (no one knows for sure which year is accurate). To commemorate his birthday, we’ve collected a few of his quotes that still resonate with patriots today. Which is your favorite? Let us know!
