Chicago, Illinois Grassroots Activist Training

As part of American Majority’s Constitution Day Training Bomb, the Chicago Tea Party will be hosting American Majority on September 17th for a Kickoff to 2012 Grassroots Activist training session in Chicago, Illinois. The event will be held at Roosevelt University, 430 South Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Doors will open and on-site registration will begin at 9:30 AM. Training will begin at 10:00AM and conclude at 4:00PM.
American Majority will be unveiling new materials, covering topics such as*:
- GOTV– Good volunteers who know how to motivate voters to turnout can make the difference for a campaign. Learn what to expect, and what you can do to get voters out on Election Day.
- How the Left Does it– A look at the tools that the Left has been using, and how the tea party movement can adopt and adapt their most effective methods, in defense of liberty.
- Community Organizer for Freedom– Tips for local activists on vetting local leaders, filing FOIA requests, wikis and other practical steps that you can take in your community, everyday.
Cost for this event is $25.00 per person, and includes lunch and training materials. College students receive a $10.00 discount with a valid student ID.
Registrations will be accepted at the door.

I’m a seasoned activist, campaign manager, former candidate for Republican Committeeman of the 47th Ward, City of Chicago. I’ve heard that Sarah Gough is on your staff. I remember her from the Jack Ryan/Alan Keyes campaign of 2004. When is training coming to the Naperville Area (west DuPage, East Kane or northern Will Counties)? Even though I’m seasoned in politics, I can still pick up a few tricks.
In the 2010 campaign – I was the campaign manager for Sharon Strobeck-Eckersall who was running for Cook County Assessor. In 2009 at the Cook County Republican Convention we learned how to use facebook and twitter to get the message out for our candidates. Emily Zanotti (a libertarian) did the presentation.
Gary, thanks for your interest in our training! We are thrilled that Sarah recently joined our staff- however, just to clarify, Sarah was NOT part of the Alan Keyes campaign, though she did work for the Jack Ryan campaign. She will follow up with you shortly about the training events that she has scheduled- thanks!

Jaoni, is there any way that you can record these and play them as webcasts for those that cant make it? I am extremely interested in this but not sure I can make it.
I know that would be a great way to reach a wider audience as well.
I will not be attending on the 17th because of work, but want to know what I can do to help
