Matt Batzel ~ Executive Director
Matt joined American Majority in October 2010 to open the Wisconsin office. Prior to joining American Majority, Matt gained experience at the state and federal levels, including in all three branches of the federal government. He has a tax law background, having practiced in the private sector for over two years following his graduation from law school. Matt currently resides with his wife and three children in Oostburg, WI.
Which Founding Father do you relate most with, and why?
Benjamin Franklin. He helped establish the first American hospital, organized the Pennsylvania milita; was a noted author, diplomat, and inventor; led the repeal of the Stamp Act and its taxes; was part of the Committee of Five that drafted the Declaration of Independence; signed the Constitution; the list goes on and on.
What is your favorite city to train in and why?
Milwaukee because its close to home, has great people and good food.
What reality show do you think you would perform best on?
Amazing Race for sure. I’d love to travel around the world and do all of the roadblocks. I would just try to outrun the competition.
How does Matt compare to the American majority:
69% of Americans eat the cake before the frosting, do you?
I eat them both at the same time and try to have every bite proportional. I am not a fan of too much frosting in one bite. So I guess that leaves me in the majority
71% of Americans can drive a stick shift, can you?
Yes, I learned on my old 1991 Chevy S-10.
57% of Americans save pretty wrapping paper for reuse, do you?
Not now, but I used to back in the day. I don’t think my kids would like it if I made them open their gifts carefully so we could reuse the paper
67% of Americans report having fired a gun, have you?
Yes, I have. My good friends from law school made sure I went trap shooting a few times with them. There was something about law school that made us want to shoot guns…
68% of Americans engage in social media, do you? How often?
Yes, I use Linkedin the most and probably check it twice a day. I started using Facebook back in 2004 when you had to have a college e-mail address to create an account (how the world has changed)

Heather Weininger ~ Senior Field Representative
Heather joined American Majority in November 2010. Prior to joining American Majority, Heather worked at the federal level as well as on campaigns ranging from local races to federal races. She has a political science background. Heather resides with her husband, Chad, and dog, Bean, in Green Bay.
Which Founding Father do you relate most with, and why?
Thomas Jefferson. I like to believe that much like Thomas Jefferson, I too am sometimes one who is silent yet contributes much to a cause. I also believe in limiting the role of the federal government and leaving the state government to make the better decisions. He also has great tastes in choosing a beautiful location to place a home.
What is your favorite city to train in and why?
Green Bay, if you are near the Packers you can never go wrong.
What reality show do you think you would perform best on?
I thought I already had a reality show of my life.
How does Heather compare to the American majority:
69% of Americans eat the cake before the frosting, do you?
If possible, I would prefer cake and frosting at the same time. And, completely depends on the kind of frosting used.
71% of Americans can drive a stick shift, can you?
No, I lived in the city and my parents sold the only car with a stick long before I could drive.
57% of Americans save pretty wrapping paper for reuse, do you?
I don’t save it to reuse the paper. However, if there is a special occasion you can be sure I will save the pieces and use it in a scrapbook.
67% of Americans report having fired a gun, have you?
Yes, I enjoy firing a gun anytime there is a chance.
68% of Americans engage in social media, do you? How often?
Yes, I am on Linkedin and Facebook. Since I have Facebook and Linkedin on my Blackberry it probably means I use them far too often.
