One of the best parts about my work with American Majority is the opportunity to travel across the country training conservative activists and candidates. This year I’ve been able to train in 11 states and every place I go I see further evidence of the passion which is growing for conservative causes. That knowledge energizes me to continue my personal fight but also shows me ample proof that the conservative resurgence is more than a flash in the pan: it’s a real awakening.

A few weeks ago Matt Robbins and I had the opportunity to take a three training tour out to California. During our time out there we trained nearly 200 conservative activists and candidates. We started out in Danville, trained in Fresno and worked our way down to Ontario.

I was incredibly impressed by the passion and resolve I saw demonstrated by the people I interacted with. Decades of liberal policies have left many cities, as well as the state itself, on the verge of bankruptcy but the resolve among conservatives is stronger than ever. Our goal was to leave the patriots we trained with the knowledge necessary to make a tangible difference in the direction California is headed.

In Fresno and Ontario Matt and I were joined by one such patriot: Laura Boatright.  Apart from being active in her community for a number of years and deeply involved in the Tea Party movement in California, Laura will be continuing American Majority’s mission of training conservative activists to win in her home state as an American Majority Mechanic.

The American Majority Mechanics Program was launched in 2010 with goal of training citizen-activists to equip others to become engaged in their state and local communities… and that’s exactly what Laura’s been up to.  Currently there are seven upcoming activist trainings scheduled in California, and I know there’s going to be more!  Check here to see if one of the trainings will be close to your community!*

After our last training concluded I asked Amanda Broggie, one of our trainees, a few questions about her impressions of the training:

I’m confident that with the work of individuals like Amanda and Laura we can move the ball forward for conservative causes across this great nation. Progressives continue to poke fun at our drive to rescue our nation from their failing liberal policies but they crack these jokes at their own peril. They haven’t see what I have: America is awakening!
