This year, as town council, school board and other local elections are held across the nation, voters are getting involved like never before and are standing up to demand accountability and responsibility from their elected officials.  GRASSROOTS TRAIN FOR RUMBLE WITH OBAMA ON CONSTITUTION DAY

American Majority Leads Historic Event to Train Tea Party Activists in More than a Dozen Cities

New York, NY (September 16, 2011) – On the heels of another so-called stimulus proposal and more outrageous comments by union leaders and liberal politicians, tea party and other conservative grassroots activists are getting ready to rumble with Obama in 2012 over America’s future. With personal and economic freedom in peril like never before, American Majority has brought together tea party members and liberty-minded activists in more than a dozen cities to train to defend American values on Constitution Day, September 17th.  The American Majority “Training Bomb” is the largest single-day conservative grassroots training initiative in history.  For the first time, simultaneous sessions across America will be held to educate and mobilize fiscally conservative activists and future candidates to fight for limited government and free market principles.

“This isn’t a rally and it’s not a summit.  This hasn’t been done before.  The “Training Bomb” is an unprecedented effort to help local tea party groups organize for real action and real change,” states Ned Ryun, President of American Majority who adapted the concept from the popular “money bomb” grassroots technique used by national campaigns.  “Local activists know we need to reduce the impact of government on our lives to make America stronger.  There’s no better day than Constitution Day to bring Americans together to learn how they can ensure we continue to live in a free society.”

Both activist and candidate courses will be offered at each location to help the conservative cause organize for victory next year.  Topics will range from the fundamentals of successful political operations and hardwiring precincts to communicating policy and online image management. The Training Bomb sessions are being held in New York, NY, Tulsa, OK, Dallas, TX, Nashville, TN, Appleton, WI, Fayetteville, NC, Indianapolis, IN, Chicago, IL, Hartland, VT, Troy, MI, Daytona Beach, FL, Scottsdale, AZ, Loveland, CO, and Cincinnati, OH.

“Tea Party members and other conservative grassroots activists are under attack,” states Ryun.  “They’ve been maligned by advocates of a desperate, leftist ideology that is bereft of ideas and threatening our way of life.  The Training Bomb’s goal is to educate and engage our rank-and-file fight for principles the majority of Americans support – smaller, less intrusive government.”

To organize this nation-wide effort, American Majority is working closely with many of the most effective grassroots groups in the nation such as the Dallas Tea Party, New York’s Tea Party 365, 9.12 Project Tennessee, and Right Turn Colorado.

Over the last two years American Majority, the nation’s leading grassroots training organization, has trained nearly 20,000 conservative activists and candidates in nearly all 50 states.

The New Leaders Project Now Over 50% to Its Recruitment Goal

Contact: Thomas Basile (917) 579-2216 or Matt Robbins (540) 338-1251
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

THE NEW LEADERS PROJECT NOW OVER 50% TO ITS RECTRUITMENT GOAL

More than 500 Tea Party Groups Have Pledged to Identify and Train Thousands of
New Candidates in Advance of 2011 and 2012 Elections

PURCELLVILLE, VA (July 6, 2011) – American Majority, the nation’s leading grassroots training organization, is proud to announce that more than 500 groups have now taken the New Leaders Pledge since the launch of this first of its kind national program late last year.  Those local tea party and activist groups have agreed to recruit and train more than 5,000 new potential candidates in advance of the 2011 and 2012 elections.  This brings the program more than half way to its goal of engaging 1000 organizations each to recruit 10 new leaders in their local communities to run for state or local office.

American Majority and tea party leaders from across the nation launched the New Leaders Project (NLP) to combine policy, education and grassroots infrastructure in an effort to sustain Tea Party momentum across America.  The NLP is helping community leaders identify quality, liberty-minded candidates while fostering a new era of accountability between voters and elected officials.

“This is how we build a farm team for the future,” stated Ned Ryun, President of American Majority.  “These new leaders have been identified as people who will be committed to fiscal responsibility, free enterprise and limited government.  Thousands of them will now be trained to be effective advocates for the kind of reform that is necessary to save this nation from an unresponsive and unmanageable government we cannot afford.”  In addition to the more than 500 groups that have signed the Pledge, more than 500 individuals have already committed to running for office.

To support the groups that take the Pledge and the work of local tea party organizers, American Majority will offer its proven policy, campaign and candidate training to the new leaders.  More information about the New Leaders Project can be found at www.NewLeadersProject.org.

“Political parties do little to ensure their candidates, especially incumbents, adhere to fiscally responsible principles,” states Jason Hoyt, founder of the Tea Party of Orlando, FL.  “In Florida, we the people will utilize the New Leaders Project to not only ensure we have the right candidates, but that they’re equipped with the tools necessary to win elections.”

“This is a crucial time in our nation’s history.  We do not have a government that serves the American people and tea party organizers at the local level recognize that,” states Ryun.  “Statistics show that the longer a government official remains in office, the more prone they are to grow government. These new leaders will have the tools to break the cycle of incumbency and not only win, but passionately support the solutions we need.”

Since 2008, American Majority has been identifying and training thousands of candidates and local activists in more than 40 states in an effort to build a farm team of conservative leaders for the 21st Century.  American Majority organized efforts in Wisconsin earlier this year which received national attention in support of Governor Walker’s fiscally responsible budget policies.

With the New Leaders Project fast reaching its goal, American Majority and local activist groups are keeping what has become one of the most potent grassroots political forces in American history strong, focused and ready for 2012.

Grassroots and Tea Party Leaders Announce “The New Leaders Project”

On the heels of an historic mid-term election, and amid speculation about the future of the Tea Party movement, American Majority along with local Tea Party leaders from across the nation, announced today the launch of The New Leaders Project and the drive to identify 10,000 new, credible candidates in advance of the 2011 and 2012 elections.

American Majority believes that this project, when combined with policy education and grassroots infrastructure development, is the surest way to sustain Tea Party momentum across the nation.

This first of its kind national effort will seek to have 1,000 local Tea Party leaders sign onto The New Leaders Project, committing themselves and their groups to identifying 10 new leaders in their local community to run primarily for state or local office in 2012.  Representatives from Texas, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Colorado, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Florida, Virginia, Arkansas, and Ohio on hand at a press conference this morning to be the first signers of The New Leaders Pledge.

The groups will have from January 2011 until the candidate-filing deadline in their respective states and communities to identify these candidates.  The program will help community leaders identify quality candidates while fostering a new era of accountability between voters and elected officials.

To support the Tea Party organizers, American Majority will offer its proven campaign and candidate training to the new leaders. The New Leaders Project can be found on www.newleadersproject.org.

Since 2008, American Majority has been identifying and training thousands of candidates and local activists in more than 40 states in an effort to build a farm team of conservative leaders for the 21st Century.  With this new initiative, American Majority, along with local groups, will keep the emphasis of what has become one of the most potent grassroots political forces in American history where it belongs – at the local level.

Activists Rank American Majority Most Helpful Organization According to Study

A study released today by the Sam Adam’s Alliance surveying both “establishment” and “tea party” activists sheds light on the rapidly changing political landscape. While it appears many legacy organizations are happy to simply ignore a rising group of activists, organizations including American Majority have received positive feedback for their work supporting grassroots action across the country.

Study participants were asked  to rank the following organizations by helpfulness:

We here at American Majority are honored to have been ranked the highest among several great organizations and would like to take time to thank you all for your support. Our focus has always been and will continue to be on the grassroots, as we truly believe real change begins at the local level. Unlike many organizations, we build from the bottom up. We are based outside of the DC beltway as true members of the grassroots.

We have had an awesome year training thousands of activists across the country at hundreds of events and cannot wait to see what next year holds. A lot of folks say that this movement will lose steam after November, but little do they know, we are just getting started.

With local elections in 2011, another huge year in 2012, and for all elections cycles after that, American Majority will continue to remain active in providing you the resources to become even more effective. It is because of the amazing support of people like you, willing to join us as we fight to protect liberty, that we are able to exist in this movement as an organization. From the Tea Parties and 9-12 groups to the established pro-life and free market think tanks, we all make up the true American majority.
