People tend to underestimate “The Natural State,” called this due to its  “…unsurpassed scenery, clear lakes, free-flowing streams, magnificent rivers, meandering bayous, delta bottom lands, forested mountains, and abundant fish and wildlife.”  Don’t let the laid back rural setting fool ya none.

Hawg Country is home to Wal-Mart, the third largest company in the world. Tyson Foods, one of the world’s largest providers of chicken, beef, and pork products, and J.B. Hunt Transport, one of the largest transportation logistics companies in North America. If that isn’t enough, some pretty prominent people are Arkansans such as writers Ernest Hemingway and John Grisham, military leaders Archibald Yell and Douglas MacArthur, sports legends Bear Bryant, Barry Switzer and Scottie Pippen, and the nation’s favorite American Idol, Kris Allen.
